Ari's First Child

Hello and welcome everyone!
A huge thanks to peaceluvrr for the rules and Harmonysims for inspiration (she writes the Sierra Baby Challenge which you should really read)
Also a quick request: I need names and FATHERS for Ari's children. Please post on my thread here (if that thread doesn't work post here). You can post on this blog but I would prefer one of the threads above just for simplicity sake.
Much appriciated! So on with the show!!

Arianna Lee stares at the small, quaint house sitting in front of her. Her dream of having 100 children seems so much more daunting now. For a moment, Ari wondered if maybe she should just forget the whole thing ;but that was only for a moment. Ari held her head high as she stepped inside the wooden cottage.

Surprised, Ari smiled. Inside, the cottage was warm and inviting. The kitchen area had good space and tools. The front room was open and airy with her computer set against the left wall. The movers had even unpacked the baby crib and toys her parents had sent with her. The bedrooms in the back connected and her bed was set up in the right one. Still smiling, Ari walked back outside and looked around at her new neighborhood. Directly across the street, two men stood outside conversing. Arianna was nothing if not an opportunist and hastened across the street to meet the men.
The men were in the middle of a conversation about astrology when Ari walked up. Suddenly shy, she stared at her shoes. She knew nothing about the stars and couldn't think of anything witty to say. Almost overcome by embarassment, Ari glanced up to see both men eyeing her intently. Courage restored, she imediatly introduced herself. "I'm Arianna Lee,"she said," and I just moved in across the street."
The darker of the two men spoke first.
"I'm Hank and this is Bryce Sierra (hope you don't mind Harmony)"
Bryce waved and smiled. Ari smiled back and felt her heart thump in her chest.
I could fall in love with him She though.Let him be my first. At that moment, Hank excused himself and walked inside. Ari couldn't believe her luck.
She and Bryce chatted about this and that, who won the game and what park was pretty this time of year. He was friendly and easy to like. Before long, Ari felt as if she had known him for months instead of hours. Suddenly, in the midst of a discussion about cooking methods, Ari's stomach growled. Bryce laughed as Ari said goodbye.
Back at home, Ari hummed to herself as she fix dinner. Being a natural cook made cooking easy and fun. As she ate, Ari began planning how to earn money to support her dreams. Gardening! She thought triumphantly.Gardening and fishing! I'm good at both and love being outside.

With renewed confidence, Ari changed into night clothes and climbed in bed. That night she dreamed of the children she would have.

The next morning, Arianna was awakened by the sound of the mailman and the renewed anxiety of how little money she had. She hurried to the shower and dressed quickly.
She caught a taxi to Central Park and started work on her fishing.

It wasn't long before she caught something. After 2 hours of successful fishing, Ari headed home.

As Ari was walking up her front lawn, something shiny caught her eye. An uncut Emerald lay nestled on the ground. Ari couldn't believe her eyes. She walked over, picked it up, and put it in her pocket. On her way inside, Ari placed it in the mailbox addressed to the appraiser's office. Tomorrow, she would know how much it was worth.

Maybe enough to pay my bills she hardly dared hope as she sat at her computer to begin working on writing. The idea to write had come to her while she was fishing. It was in the wee hours of the morning when she finally fell into bed.
The next morning, Ari checked the mailbox and found that the emerald was indeed worth enough to pay the bills. She quickly wrote the check and placed the bills into the mailbox. With a light heart, Ari went to the bathroom mirror. It was time to begin work on that dream of hers.

An hour later, Ari was ready. Bryce would have no chance at resisting her tonight. Ari was quite sure of that. She dialed his number and waited for him to pick up. When he answered, her heart skipped in her chest. She invited him over, ignoring the butterflies in her stomach and the way her hands trembled as she waited for a reply. His "sure" was music to her ears.

Outside, Bryce waited for Ari to answer the door. He thought of his dreams of becoming an astronaugt. When Ari opened the door, that was his last coherent though for a long while. .Mentally congratulating herself Ari ushered a stunned looking Bryce into her home. No sooner had she closed the door, then she planted a kiss on his lips. Passion shot through her. Momentarily stunned, she stepped back. She hadn't expected to feel all this. She had never really thought about the men in her sceme. She just expected a good time. Get a hold of yourself she mentally chided herself as she smiled at the very dazed Bryce. Now for the difficult part. "Bryce..." she started, but Bryce held up his hand. "I know about the challenge." he said. "The whole town knows."
"Oh, well then you know my question then." She responded.
"Yeah, I do." He said with a sigh. "I will help you, but I had hoped..."
He trailed off and just looked at her. Ari's heart ached but she summoned a smile and said "No strings. Sorry. Time for the fun part!"

Without warning, she leaped into his arms and smiled as he hugged her close. Instead of putting her down, he carried her to her bedroom and placed her on the bed.
He climbed in after her and pulled her back to him. "You ready?" Ari asked with a teasing gleam in her eye.
"Always"he replied. Her heart throbbed but she grinned.

The sweet melody of a lulaby played in Ari's ear as they both drifted off to sleep.
The next morning Ari awoke to find Bryce gone. She pushed away her hurt and dressed for the day. She started planting a garden by the side of the house. It was a work in progress but it felt good to dig in the dirt.
Determined to keep her mind busy, Ari decided to start writing a scifi book. For hours, she worked on the book she was entitling Time Lost. Suddenly, Ari felt a movement in her stomach.
She stood up and felt her baby move within her again. Smiling sweetly, Ari realized she was indeed pregnant with Bryce's child. She went to sleep early that night and dreamed of a little blond child who would look just like its father.
The next morning, Ari called Bryce and invited him over.

He came eagerly and met her outside in the garden.

Ari told him the good news and watched his face light up. He smiled and love shown in his eyes. Suddenly, his face changed. The light vanished like a snuffed candle and he patted her shoulder. "I'm glad" he said.
"I hope you and the little one have a good life."

He turned and walked back down the front lawn to his car. Every fiber of her being cried out for her to say the words that would make him stay; but she couldn't. She stood there on her front steps long after he had driven away. Tears leaked from her eyes dispite her willing them back. Finally she turned her back on the road and his house and walked back inside her house. She went straight to bed but didn't sleep, couldn't sleep. His face kept floating back into her dreams and his final words tormented her. "I'm glad" he had said "I hope you have a good life"

The next morning, Ari forced herself out of bed. She dressed and went to deliver some vegetables to a neighbor who had requested them.
As she rounded the side of the house, she saw him. She couldn't believe her luck. Of all the people to run into, it had to be him. She considered turning around and going home but he had spotted her. He walked over to her and smiled his signature grin. Ari's heart sped up. "Hi" she managed to say breathlessly. "Hi back" he said with a smile in his eyes. She couldn't believe the change in his demenor from last night.
He leaned forward and placed his hand on her rather large stomach. His smile widened as he felt the baby kick.
"Bryce" Ari started, but he held his hand up. "Don't ruin it." he said softly. "I love you"
"Oh, Bryce." Ari breathed sadly.
"I know, Ari, I knew when I met you what you were doing. I love you but I can't have you. I know." He straightened up. "Good'bye, Love" and with that he left.
Ari turned away from his retreating figure. "There is a good reason. A real good one." She said to herself.
This was something she never told anyone. She was forbidden to. The reason for her so call "dream".It wasn't a dream; it was a curse She thought A curse that runs down the Lee line of my family

To help her mood, Ari walked up to the graveyard and searched for more seeds and collectables.

She found seeds and gems and even a friendly butterfly.

As the sun slipped behind the hills, Ari called a cab and headed home. No sooner had she gotten out of the cab than a painful contraction hit her.
She climbed back into the cab and hurried to the hospital. She checked in by her self. She didn't expect Bryce to show up. Not after this afternoon.

That woman Bryce thought as he raced into the hospital after her. He had seen her get out of the cab in front of her house. He had heard her cry out in pain when the contraction hit and he had suffered with her. Her cry had pierced his heart and he wasn't about to let her go through the birth alone. He loved her no matter that his rational side said. He always would.

When Bryce came through the door of her hospital room, Ari could have cried. She knew it would only hurt them both in the long run but she wanted him with her. Three hours later, at exactly 11:38 pm, Sean Lee-Sierra was born. When Ari gazed into the face of her first born son, she felt complete. She would love each one of her 100 children, but Sean was special. He was perfect.
